South East England Biodiversity Forum

The SEB Strategy

We need to safeguard the region's biodiversity for future generations and in order to achieve truly sustainable development. But this can't be done by nature conservation organisations alone. Many partners are needed and the conservation of biodiversity needs to be part of every business's and public body's plans and policies. Which is why the South East England Biodiversity Forum (SEEBF) has produced a South East Biodiversity Strategy(SEBS) in order to outline the actions that are needed and guide organisations on how they can contribute.

The South East Biodiversity Strategy aims to:

  • Be a clear, coherent and inspiring vision for the South East
  • Provide a framework for the delivery of biodiversity targets that guide and support all those who have an impact on biodiversity in the region
  • Embed a landscape scale approach to restoring whole ecosystems in the working practices and policies of all partners
  • Create the space needed for wildlife to respond to climate change
  • Enable all organisations in the South East to support and improve biodiversity across the region
  • Be a core element within the strategies and delivery plans of organisations across the South East region
