Species
Following the national England Biodiversity Strategy, SEBS aims to integrate the needs of species and habitats. Nationally the niche requirements for BAP species are being identified and linked to guidance on the management of the associated habitat.
The species that are not covered by this integration (generally the rare locally isolated species) are also being identified presently along with the key actions needed to support these species.
Once this work is complete this page will link to key guidance and provide information for those species that are not catered for by the habitat and species integration.
In the meantime we have included information on the actions required for several key UK BAP marine species. This is taken from the Marine Conservation Society document Marine Local Biodiversity Action Plan - Guidance Manual for England.
If you would like to contribute any information relating to the species pages already held here or on any other UK BAP species present in the South East please contact Tom Butterworth.
